Small children often are scared by the full makeup worn by many clowns. This discussion will talk about the benefits of not wearing facepaint during your show. Children are very aware of facial expressions and this can be used to your advantage during your performance. The heavy use of facepaint, while traditional, limits the performer to a single facial expression. Your performance can take on a wider variety of comedic stunts with the expanded facial expressions.

The instructor will also go over several facial exercises to limber the facial structure. Perhaps not to the Jim Carrey extent, but every bit helps.
